House Party w/ David Cobb!

Please join us and David Cobb from MTA, for an evening in support of Initiative 735, which declares that the people of Washington want to see the disastrous Supreme Court decisions in Citizens United and McCutchen overturned.

I am personally hosting a fun and intimate fundraising event at my place in the North Seattle Meadowbrook neighborhood this coming Saturday evening. I believe in the important work WAmend (Washington State Coalition to Amend the Constitution) is doing to get big money out of elections and know you do too!

We will be joined by Move to Amend national spokesperson David Cobb, who is visiting Washington State to reveal the origins of corporate power in America and inspire activism for I-735. David’s presentation will help us understand how we can work together to abolish corporate personhood and establish a government of, by, and for the people. I-735’s Campaign Director Gabe Meyer will be in attendance to answer your questions about the policy and the plan to win. We have already collected over 100,000 signatures through an all-volunteer signature gathering effort. Together, we will make Washington State the 17th state on record demanding a federal constitutional amendment to overturn Citizens United.

The campaign’s modest budget is $200,000 for 2015. We are hoping you can give $100, or at one of the higher levels listed below, but whatever you can give is appreciated. We don't have big donors as most campaigns rely on, so we count on smaller donations from active citizens such as yourself.

Suggested Levels:
* $735+ – Evening Co-Host
* $500 – Democracy Champion
* $250 – Clean Elections Leader
* $100 – Good Government Actor
* $10-73.50 – We the People Attendee
We hope you can join us on August 15th from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm. My address is 11714 36th Ave NE., Seattle, WA 98125. Local wines, beer and refreshments will be served, plus fun door prizes too!
Please RSVP below so we know how many to expect. We look forward to seeing you Saturday in support of this important campaign to reclaim our democracy!
If you can't make it, but would still like to give to the cause, please go here to donate.
Thank you and hope you can make it!
